Partnership with Woodlawn Memorial Gardens and Operation HomefrontAugust 1, 2008, 12:00 pm by Damon Melcho
FT. CAMPBELL, KY- Saber Management, LLC Woodlawn Memorial Gardens and Operation Homefront-Kentucky/Tennessee today announce a new charitable partnership to benefit military families in Kentucky. Saber Management, LLC Maplelawn Park Cemetery, a privately owned cemetery and funeral home provider serving Kentucky, Illinois and Missouri, launched the partnership with a $10,000 donation to Operation Homefront. The nonprofit organization provides assistance to troops, military families and wounded warriors.

Saber Management presented Operation Homefront with the check at Saber’s annual conference in Indianapolis this weekend. In addition to the initial contribution, Saber Management Maplelawn Park Cemetery will make a memorial donation to Operation Homefront for every qualified Veteran served by a Saber location. “We work with a large number of military veterans in the State of Kentucky, Illinois and Missouri,” said David Sullivan, President of Saber Management. “Our company wanted to find a way to honor these men and women for their sacrifices and for serving our country.”

Operation Homefront is one of the largest, national nonprofit organizations dedicated to assisting families of deployed service members and wounded warriors. “This partnership will allow Operation Homefront to meet the critical needs of military families,” said Megan George, President of the Kentucky/Tennessee Chapter. “Saber Management’s support will literally allow us to keep the lights on and food on the table for our families in need.”

About Operation Homefront: Operation Homefront began in 2001 as a military spouse-generated idea. In response to the shortcoming of support for the families of deployed service members, CinCHouse.com members (military wives and women in uniform) created the project that has evolved into a major nonprofit charity with chapters in 37 states. Today CinCHouse.com operates as a program as part of the nonprofit Operation Homefront family. From a good idea, to a great organization, Operation Homefront understands and takes care of the needs of the military community. Mowing SeasonJune 1, 2008, 12:00 pm by Damon Melcho
Memorial Day has come and gone and we are now in the heart of our mowing season. There are a couple things that you need to know.

As per our “Decoration Guidelines”, all grave decorations must be in an approved cemetery bronze vase. This will help to insure that we can mow without risk of picking up wire or other debris, which can cause damage to the mower blades.

However, should you have a special request or anniversary date (like a birthday or day of death) in which you would like to do something special with the gravesite, just come into the office and let us see what we can do for you.
