Rueben  Adams
Funeral services for Rueben Adams, age 73, of Paducah will be at 1:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Council officiating. Entombment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Adams died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 12:35 AM at Western Baptist Hospital.
Born in Fulton County, KY, Mr. Adams was a member of the Southland Baptist Temple. He owned Aero Pest Control and had worked for Coca Cola Bottling Company. Mr. Adams will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving husband, dad and PawPaw. He was also an avid Chicago Cubs Fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean Upchurch Adams. He is also survived by three daughters, Kymberli Adams Mizell, and husband Mark, Terri Adams West, and husband Michael, all of Paducah, and Dana Adams Stephens, and husband Jerry, Jr., of Metropolis; one sister, Lillie Smotherman of Charleston, MO; five grandchildren, Carson Stephens, Madison Stephens and Taylor Stephens of Metropolis, Emily West and Anna West of Paducah; one brother-in-law and his wife, Charles and Nancy Upchurch of Paducah; several nieces and nephews, Randy and Nickie Weaver, Brittany and Darren Strickland, Polly Smith, Keith Adams, Debbie Smoot, Ronnie Adams, Benjamin Upchurch, Kenneth Whitehead, Dale Etheridge, Don Adams and Ben Adams.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mattie Etheridge, Betty Walden and Velma Ruth Adams and three brothers B.W. Adams, Wade Adams and Lewis Adams. His parents were Ben and Velma Adams.
